Slowhand Bob

I have been able to shoot very little over the past couple of years but did get to play with my Uberti Schofields yesterday and it was great to shoot them again.  I was using the short (very) 45Cowboy Specials loaded with ultralight bullets and Pinnacle.  For an old slow geezer things could not have gone better and I only had a couple of small glitches at the unloading table.  I had the star slip past some case rims on two separate occasions.  Being unpracticed caused me to be a little tentative on  the break open and this caused the minor problem.  For those who have not used these extremely short cases, let me say that they are much easier to clear than full length Colt cases.  They actually are shorter than the star stroke!  Made some smoke and rang some steel, can not ask any more from my pair of Schofields.

Welcome back to the Campfire, Pard!  Hope conditions will permit you to get out and shoot more.  Been there, sorta, for awhile myself!
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!

Your obedient servant,
Trailrider,
Bvt. Lt. Col. Commanding,
Southern District
