...and I am using "we" collectively!
It wasn't all that long ago that every time a question about USFA came up on the various web sites, someone would jump in and do their best to bash the brand.   USFA'a Italian origins were a stigma, and long after they went to all American production the "imported parts" rumors persisted.  Some people seemed to actually resent the fact that there was another company besides Colt that was manufacturing American made SAA's.  Things seem to have changed.
Recently I have been following several threads on other web sites.  Topics range from the old "Colt vs. whatever" to "what's the best bang for the buck" (FYI - it's the Rodeo, but you already knew that).  The thing that impresses me the most is the general acceptance that USFA has gained among shooters.  General consensus now seems to be that USFA's are, at least, on a par with Colt.  Even dyed in the wool Colt shooters, while not willing to accept that USFA's are as good as their Colts, will admit that they are at least better than anything else out there.  Quite a change from the opinions we used to see in the various forums 5 or 6 years ago.  It is nice to see USFA getting the respect they deserve.

Amen.  Quality of the American high grade kind shall not be overlooked!

I think USFA's quality shows even in the very early U.S.Pat.F.A. guns that where made by Uberti but finished and assembled here in under the Blue Dome. I have had a chance to look over my newest acquisition, and the quality level of it is beyond any  other Uberti gun I've ever owned or seen. It even has the feel of my other USFAs, that no Italian gun has.

The quality is there for all to see.  I don't think anyone can justly dispute the quality of the USFA guns no matter what other brands you may also like or own.  I currently have one Colt and two USFA Pre War.  All are beautiful guns with outstanding fit and finish.

There are many things that I like about USFA and quality is at the top of the list.  Another thing I like about USFA is the ability to get a gun built like you want.  There are many options that are not very easy to get on a Colt.  One such being the blackpowder frame.  My favorite gun is my 4 3/4 Pre War BP frame.  Also, the Armory Blue finish is just outstanding!
