Model 72 open top

I ordered a Taylor's Schofield and a Model 72 open top.

Received the Schofield but the Model 72 is on back order ... may be a month or so.

Noticed that CIMARRON also stocks them. Anyone know if there is much difference between Cimarron & Taylors?

Any help appreciated.

I have a Taylor&Co. open-top in .38SP with a 5.5 in. barrel. Shoots well, but after the first 100 rds. I put through her, the loading gate became quite loose. Called Taylor and they said to tighten it (duh..) Haven't taken it back out yet to see if it comes loose again.

Same gun, buy it from who ever has it in stock now. Back orders of Ubertis often go from the promised one month to many months or years.

You must have missed the first post. Here is the pertinent portion of that post:

I correctly assumed that there would be folks here that would have some information on the Model 72.
