When Old Top was a youth and stationed in DC, he wandered into a coffeehouse and heard a group he has been raving about ever since. I am the person of my family that finds lost stuff. I have been lookin for this group for all these 40 some years with no luck. All I had was the name: Baker Street Irrigulars. He thought they were from DC. Finally a few months ago on the net I found a listing about them and found out they were from Phylly and they had done one onreleased single. Thought I was doomed. Couple of days ago (actually while I was listening to the Chantays..) I thought what the hey, I would do a search on Utube, and sure enough there it was with even the single pix(Well the pix was the "bear fax, but it was the Fuzz label)...Ah, I turned into Sherlock Holmes for Top after all...

Jeez, Steve Earl musta been on one a his short stints outta the pokey.  Think he's got more time in than out.

The Yardbirds did a very similar version of the song Curley posted.  Count 5 from Berkley sounded a lot like them too.

This is true Leo, but ifn it had been the ybirds or Count5 I wouldn't have had to spend 40 years lookin for them I got them in my record cab. and my cd cab.

It sure was cool to find them, but it is kinda like finishin a book.......What do I do now???

Lil swears I been around the block bafore.  I find that stuff an enjoy the heck outta it.  I don't feel bad cause Patton said the same thing, an he was the man.  She says I know stuff I shouldn't know.  Kinda funny.

Ain't many folks my age that know Martha an the Vandellas either.  Phil Spector did a lot of producing them gals back then.
