Just curious how many folks have had to send their guns into R&D for fitting. I installed their gated conversion on my 51 Pietta and finally got tired of trying to make it work so R&D said send it to them and they'd fit if for no charge.
Well after taking it to a local smith, who suggested the same thing I sent it in to R&D. USPS lost a 58 Remmie for me as while back so I was neverous about shipping another gun but I finally got it shipped and it made it alright.
Like I said just curious as to how many worked right out of the box and how many had to be send in for fitting.

Major 2

Minor adj on my 2nd Gen Colt , using R&D's Uberti Cyl.
But so minor my smith did it , for less than the shipping both ways for free slick fit up at R&D.  :)

I have had personal experience with 3 Pietta 58s and R&Ds, 2 Uberti 58s with R&Ds, 2 1860 Colt Ubertis with R&Ds, and a 1849 Colt Pocket with R&D.  All dropped right in and worked flawlessly, with the exception of then .31 caliber 1849.  That was a problem with the gun, though, not the cylinder.  The percussion cylinder would not rotate at all with the wedge in, and neithyer would the R&D.

The 63 Remington .31s should be nice with an R&D, though!

Cannon Fodder

Uberti Colt Walker and Uberti 1858 44  Remington(wrong forum!) purchased from Taylors.  R & D  cylinders for both ordered later from Taylors. Fit for both is great and thet lock up tight. Only about 50 rounds each of 45 sch and 45 lc through both guns but no problems  yet. The 45 sch  in the  Walker is a real joy and  a "pussycat"

Well I need to report that I got mine back from R&D in about a weeks time. They got it on a Thursday and it made it back to me this past Friday. Put the snap caps in and cylced it through a few times and it works fine.
Did figure it would get back so soon but sure glad it did. I'll buy another one soon for my 1860 and see how it goes.
