Gift from a Pard!
« on: July 03, 2023, 06:31:39 PM »
@major2 and I have become friends over the years and he surprised me last week by telling me to watch for a holster he had made. Well it arrived today, and sadly it doesn't work with the planned gun due to my gun's front sight. Well, I started poking around and found a little Iver Johnson .32 that it fits like a kitten curling up to momma!

A fine holster for that IJ. What a nice thing he did for you. Could you maybe wet mold the holster to fit the originally intended pistol? Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Very nicely done. It looks like it was made just for the little IJ.

I wish I could. My Commander has a higher front sight that just goes out of the holster, so it hangs up and I have to fight to get it out of the holster.

Well drat ....but is seems to fit the old IJ fine... :)
I see the problem though, it fit my officer size EMP, but a full size was too long,
I had guessed a Commander length was just right.

I carry my EMP in the bush, so I made a flap holster.

I think they both fit nicely. For the full length one, just wet mold the holster fold line to a slight bell out so it doesn't catch the front sight and you're good to go. Nice design.
