Barrel threads on Chaparral 1876?

I am thinking of rebarreling a reworked Chaparral 1876. I have been told that the barrel threads on the Chaparrals are the same as the original Winchester— can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

since the barrel will be coming off, why not just get it removed and measure it for shank diameter and thread pitch. no guessing that way. they are not hard to unscrew.
