My regrets
« on: September 06, 2013, 11:48:05 AM »
Col. Pitsptr,  it is with my deepest regret, I shall not be able to attend the 2013 GAF Grand Master due to a heart attack suffered in quarters on Wednesday, September 4th.  Am writing this from hospital room with the aid of my dear wife, Debbie.  Solicit all prayers from members of the GAF until such time as this episode is completed.  Have a grand time, as I expect to be fully recovered and loaded for bear in 2014.  Official report forthcoming.

Sincerely,
LTC Montgomery Little, Senior Chaplain, GAF

You Should be sorry! ;)

I, on the other hand, am just happy that you are able to write that from a hospital bed. My Grandfather did not get that chance. He was just 56 when he had his heart attack.

I hope you will not be offended by some cross-denominational prayers. I added you to the Nebraska State Knights of Columbus Prayer Chain.

Had one years ago that completely blocked the Right Coronary Artery and did not even know it.  Had collateral circulation to back of heart off the circumflex, much later while playing hockey was really short of breath.  Got Checked out Circumflex 85% blocked.  They rotorooted and installed a culvert (stent).  All is well and has been for 7 years or so now.

Hang in there, you are in the right place and the docs can do wonderous things now.  Be prepared for them to tell you to eat right and exercise more.  Exercise is what puts the demand on the heart and increases vascularization and increased blood flow to the heart muscle.
They know of what they speak listen and do what they tell ya.

You've had us in the GAF so often in your prayers, it's only right we direct them back on your behalf!

DON'T decide you're feeling pretty good in the weeks to come and overdo it . . .follow the Doc's orders.

Want you around for a long time to come.

Thank you all for your "cross-denominational" prayers. (What are those?)  Trap, would much rather be there and may come up for Saturday but it all depends upon how things look on the 23rd.  Appreciate you guys.
God Bless and shoot safe.
