Dug up some old bottles on Main and Santa Fe, Curley should know where that is..The old Rocket liquor store was across the street on the east, and the one they tore down was a little funiture store and old apts that were used for storage, they replaced it with a promanade, suppossed to be little shopping store but the ins companies moved in them with a crepes bar on the end that lasted about 8 months and now it is shut..
Anyway the guy that does my lawn did some work over there and dug about 20 feet down and found old plates from the 1800s,soap holders of porceline, opium bottles from chinese as they lived in tunnel rooms miles long and under old buildings. And then all kids of old bottles.Well my lawn guy mike knew i liked old stuff and gave me a small box of old bottles,i cleaned them a bit and one is and old ink bottle or ink well i think,a small clay jar? a couple of medicine bottles and a bottle that says,Mead Champagne.
So by golly them roughians drank Cham pag ne ;D Ya reckon? Oh yea the one sittin in the clay jar has a round bottom, hear tell that's a water bottle for storing water i guess...

If you lived on or near a Rail Line you could get anything that was available in the big city. If you ever get the chance read a menu from one of the bigger nicer restaurants, you'd be surprised at the stuff available.

Mead was developed by the Vikings, so I was told. I've tried it and it was OK.
Of course I'm not fond of Champagne so different strokes ya know.
