My Hand just broke right off....Uberti SAA

I was just "fondling" my 1873 Uberti Regulator when I realized the cylinder wasn't turning. Upon inspection the hand was broken in two!

I just ordered two from VTI.........Seems like it is made of some type of sintered (sp?) metal.

Damn....I hate when that happens!

One of the things I've always liked about the SAA is that you can break or remove about half the parts and bang on the hammer with a rock and it will still work.....somewhat.

Actually, it is pretty unusual for the hand itself to break.  The springs break all the time, but usually not the hand.
