Straight vs Pistol Grip???

What are the advantages for a CAS main match rifle, one way or the other, for a straight grip vs a pistol grip 73 rifle?

There is no advantage to either.  It is purely a matter of personal preference.

I prefer a straight grip because it looks better to me, but the fogger is right.  Whatever suits you best is best...for you.

The fact that the pistol grip model has a checkered forend may be considered an advantage by some.  There is an 18" straight stock model available with a checkering as well.  And note that the pistol grip model costs about $100 more than the straight stock.  Since it is mostly about personal preference, try to get your hands on both styles to see what feels best to you.
