1880's Town

Howdy!

Want to invite everybody to the Kansas Vigilance Committee's "1880’s Town", which will take place the 10th through the 12th of June, at Garnett, Kansas.  We’ll have the TbarJ chuckwagon cooking for us again, the Open Saloon, and one cowboy says he is going to be baking pies all weekend.  How can anyone miss this?

Remember, this is not a “cowboy shoot”, it is a chance to actually live a little bit of the Old West.  You’ll get an envelope when you arrive that contains a persona to use, or you can make up your own.  It will also have some money and cards representing various property or objects you own.  You will be expected to work for a living, by shooting buffalo, wolves, ducks, or rabbits.  You can round up stray horses or steers.  You can go gold mining.  You can trap wolves.  You might want to try being our Marshal, or a Deputy.  In addition to the Laundry and Bath House we have had in the past, this year we will have a Doctor available, and a Livery Stable.

This is all a little like playing Cowboy Monopoly, and the more people and more money you have in play, the better it works.  So plan on coming out to this one.  It will cost you 25 real Yankee dollars, and for that you get 4 meals, the Saloon, and a heap of fun!  Bring all your guns and plenty of ammo, no telling what you’ll need.

Plenty of room for camping, and that’s the best way to enjoy the whole weekend.  Wood is available, bring water.  Any questions, call Grizzle Bear at 913-321-3502 or e-mail rob-b@swbell.net.

Sounds like fun.

Maybe I can make it next year.
