Serial Number for M-1865 Spencer
« on: June 19, 2009, 09:37:40 AM »
My name is Peter Alter, and I am a curator at the Chicago History Museum. We are working on a U.S. history exhibit to open next year. For this display, we are considering using a Spencer carbine M-1865 with serial number 10091.

I'm aware of the four volume series "Serial Numbers of U.S. Martial Arms," but, unfortunately, do not have access to it at the present time. I'm wondering if any members of SSS have access and would be willing to post whatever they find. Thank you for your help.

Peter, Chicago History Museum
