'Wikipedia' is a 'do-it-yourself'- sort of encyclopedia.

The user can add/subtract/create 'information' at will - and that's now becoming a serious problem, since it's so easy to use that folks are relying on the veracity of the information they find there - never realizing that said information might've been tweaked.

Unless there are cited references that the user can verify - it's value to a researcher is nil.
