Ho Kid,
I had a squib round yesterday. The bullet stopped just short of the muzzle. I learned a LOT from that squib.
First, the PL-II lube had started to move. It was doing it's job even though the pressure was very low.
Second, the rear driving band, lube and front driving bands made a very effective "piston" with the driving bands being the "rings" and the lube being the piston. There was absolutely NO evidence of gas leakage.
Third, even though the bullet drove fairly easily from the barrel of my ROA, it was completely engraved.
Fourth, I learned that I have to put powder in the case. . .

Anyway, it was informative to dismantle a loaded round that way.
