Vaquero Rumors
« on: March 28, 2007, 08:33:09 AM »
I was at a toy store in a neighboring city last weekend.  (I almost did the credit card some serious damage! ;D)  I overheard one of the store employees telling another customer that Ruger had some "new and exciting variations" of the New Vaquero (and Blackhawk) coming out.  But he wouldn't say what they were!

Have any of you guys that are in the know heard any juicy tidbits that you are just dying to tell someone?  Is there a .44Spl / .44-40 Convertable RNV in my future?  Someone help me please, the suspense is killing me! :P ???

(If your not in the know, just make something up!  Maybe that will get me through 'till we get some official word! :D)

They are going to produce .44sp and .44-40s and a 35 1/4 - 44 3/8s thats suppose to take cowoby competition by strom ! The new 35 1/4 by 44 3/8s will be offered only in a brass grip frame, Unicorn ivory stocks,  case harden steel frame and tungeston barrel, with new nerff 'soft sights' (easier on the gun leather) in a varmint barrel made by a well known Romanian maker in the new Coffeville, Kansas auto shop..errr,,gun shop.
Ammo will not be avaiable anytime in the foreseeable future.

Sure wish there would be a 44 spl/44-40 model.  A couple of custom jobs have shown up here and there.

OK, how about 357/38 in the 7.5" barrel?
