Were any original henrys left "in the white"?
« on: October 10, 2006, 01:55:17 AM »
I have seen original 66's "in the white" - meaning no bluing done on the barrel, lever or hammer.  The metal is just left as a highly polished gray.  I am wondering if any of the 1860 Henrys were done this way.  Or is this just something found on repos?

Thanks, Bandit

Some of the very early brass framed Henry rifles (one or two digit serial #'s) had barrels in the white.
