Honorary Membership awarded

It is my pleasure to announce that Marshal Halloway has been awarded an Honorary Membership in the National Congress of Old West Shootists.

Marshal Halloway exemplifies the support of and dedication to Western Action Shooting and NCOWS that deserves special recognition. His ongoing efforts to create an internet "home" for NCOWS discussions and discussions of all things related to the Old West is worthy of our admiration and our gratitude.

The Honorary Membership was unanimously approved by the NCOWS Executive Committee and the following letter was recently sent to him:

Marshal Halloway,
It is my honor that I’m writing this letter to inform you, that the NCOWS Executive Committee has chosen to bestow upon you, a Honorary Membership in NCOWS. This is our way of thanking you for all you have done in helping to promote our organization on your website. We hope that you enjoy your membership benefits and hope that we will see you at some NCOWS shoots if your time permits it. Again thanks for everything.

We did this several years ago.   I didn't realize that it wasn't a life membership until just recently.  Is this a life membership?  To my way of thinking it should be.

Marshal Halloway has been a NCOWS supporter from the beginning.  I'll never forget when he first asked me to ramrod a NCOWS forum for him at the old CAS City.  I was flabbergasted since I was and still pretty much still am computer challenged but he wanted me and I took it from there after clearing it with various members of the Executive board. 

I am proud to call the Marshal my friend and I am just tickled that this has been done.

A well deserved honor for Marshall H. and I'll second Pete's motion to make this a life membership. If necessary, I'll pony-up part of whatever is needed to make this happen. Thank you so much for awarding me a NCOWS honorary membership.
I am both surprised and very pleased.
 
When I started promoting cowboy & western action shooting 11 years ago, I had no idea it would turn out to be such a long term "assignment".  Like so many projects that we take on in our lives, this one for me, has turned into many many hours of hard work, and dedication. Many times I have pulled out my hair and many times I wondered what I had got myself into, but the belief in what I was doing, and my love of shooting, kept me in the game on all levels.
No matter the brand we ride for, there will always continue to be challenges to attend to.  There are  many different sections of this sport and I have enjoyed and still enjoy working with and for all of them.
 
Being able to work with the wonderful people and friends like I have in NCOWS, has been an added enjoyment for me. You are all a refreshing great group of men and women who are dedicated, and who continually work hard taking a responsible leading role to get and keep the sport back to what it originally was in the beginning.
Challenging,  Fair for all, but most of all just Plain Fun.
 
 I tip my hat to you ladies and gentlemen.
 I am proud to call myself an NCOWS members.
