Boots Another Source?
« on: May 15, 2014, 01:58:41 PM »
I had bought the Preacher Boot or Shooter Boots, the ones with the expandable tops, from Fort Western. They don't have my size and it sounds like they're changing to something different soon. Anyone know other another place selling them?
Yes, I do have more facial hair now.

As mustanggt said Wild West Mercantile is a good source. This holiday weekend they are 25% off on everything including the "Bargain Corral". Code is MD25 for your discount. I just placed an order for a Scully frock coat and a pair of Boulet Stove Pipe
Boots and saved $95 off my order.

If you value your feet and can make it out west to either winter range or EOT I would recommend having a pair of Earthwalker custom boots made.  They fell like bed room slippers when broke in.  You can get them in any number of styles. The drawback is the cost and waiting period to receive them.  Plus if there not right when you get them he ll make them right.  But it not like me waiting six months for a pair of chaps.  About the waiting period and a little cheaper.  A good rig holsters and belt from Kirtpatrick will costs you about that also.  But, none of those items will make the match or not but a bad pair of boots will.  I bought some boots like you looking at from tonto rim a few years ago the heal kept falling off plus they didn't fit my foot correctly.  They were the correct size but my foot doesn't conform to the normal last lets say.  I've got flat feet with a high arch. My  Earthwalkers are just as comfortable as my diabetes footware.  I have two pair one is a calvery pair of knee high pull ons in black plain square toe.  The other is a brown pair that lace up using conchos on the outer side of the boot with leather fringe across the top of the boot.  Square toe also almost a knee high mock except it has a sole.  Check them out.
