Joss,

Thanks again for all your help it's much appreciated !!!

I've got the latch back in place but I think I've done something wrong because it's now very hard to cock & it won't fire. It's like something is pushing on the hammer from inside, if you know what I mean ? I've loosened all the screws on the side plate & it's made no difference  ??? ???

I have learnt a very good lesson from all this & that is don't touch it cause I don't know what I'm doing !!!!

Thanks again & all the best.

Joss,

When I took the latch off again the revolver functioned properly, cocked & fired like it always has  ??? ???

When I took a close look at it, it looks as if the back of the latch spring is pushing against the hammer causing pressure on it making it hard to cock & not letting the hammer fall freely !!!

As soon as I put the latch back on it did the same thing again. Could the spring be causing me all this trouble & how do I get the spring back in place if this is the problem  ??? ???

Thanks again.

Joss,

Thanksfor all your help. The problem was that the latch spring wasn't seated in the grove of the latch so the spring was sitting out putting pressure onto the side of the hammer !!!

I had a very good Friend of mine look at it for me & he picked up on it straight away & fixed it.

Thanks again & as always your help was much appreciated.
