I just looked at the Atlantic satellite loop. She's just sitting there, spinning. It looks like she's caught in the crook of prevailing eastward winds that head steeply north, then make a U-turn nearly due south around West Virginia/Pennsylvania. She's inching toward land, but unless the trade winds shift, she's gonna be there a while.

One can hope that with her slow movement, as more of her makes landfall she'll break apart.

So far, it looks like it could be worse for ECSASS in Dare County.  Those pards know better than me 'n they might wanna argue that, I ain't there.

There are a couple pards on the other side of Manteo I know of, in Nags Head.  One owns a shop there, the other works in Public Safety.  Looks like they're gettin' a beatin' but again, don't look as bad as it could be.

I'm sure it ain't much fun.

All are in my prayers.  I hope to see them safe and healthy soon.

May Ophelia die a quick and watery death - the sooner the better.
