HBO Plan To Make New Western TV Show!
HBO have announced that they have made plans to make a brand-new "western" TV show, which will stay in vain with their previous "western" drama, "Deadwood", which ended in 2007.
The new "western" type drama is being described as a Texas political drama, which is being penned by Larry McMurty and Diana Ossana.
Here's hoping it lasts longer than "Deadwood". That show was amazing. I really wish it never ended.

 ;)

Yes I too hope HBO new show lasts longer than Deadwood did. I actually read up on Deadwood and most of the characters was based on real people. Some of it was a bit exaggerated but the actually history is interesting and fits with the portrayals.

The other two sound good also. I'm still waiting for the latest True Grit to hit on DVD.

Those whose views differ from mine doesn't keep me from enjoying their craft. :D

I think the reality is it kinda disputes his stance if he turns around and puts his energies into embracing such a role.
He did an excellent job and the movie was thoroughly satisfying!
I also enjoyed him in Bad Company and Wild Bill.

Larry McMurtry has been busy it seems......or at least people have been busy bringing his wonderful mind to film.

As for True Grit....I loved it and wont let the political beliefs of some stop me from enjoying a good movie. It only seems fitting since John Wayne himself had to overlook the political views of others on the left to even make the original True Grit.

I hope HBO will air more western flicks. They did a pretty awesome job airing Deadwood which lasted for years. Tombstone perhaps?

I read "Empire of the Summer Moon" and it was excellent.  If the movie is half as good as the book it is a definate must see.  The book was factua; but also told a very enlightening story of the people and times of the era.

My point is that as long as we watch anything at the theater, on TV, or is published, somebody who is anti-gun will benifit from it. If you really want to give yourself an ulcer, check out what corporations, companies, buisnesses, and organizations support anti-gun movement(s).
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote. -Benjamin Franklin

Thank you for performing this service...

If we want to keep our guns, our badge of freedom, we had better stiffen our backbones, exhibit some character, and stand up for our beliefs.

We can Stand up for our pro Second Amendment beliefs by not patronizing anti-gun businesses. We can Stop watching anti-gun entertainment, or buying the product purveyed by anti-gun actors. We have to quit putting money into anti-gun pockets, regardless of who, or what, those pockets are attached to...

Other wise our pro Second Amentment beliefs are only "situation ethics" to be put aside, when there is a movie we "MUST WATCH."

Curious how many 'anti-gun' types have, on numerous occasions, made movies or tv shows in which they use them, situational ethics there too, I suppose.
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.
