I was looking for info on the Battle on the Belly, when I came upon this;

If any one knows where I can get a copy of Occasional Paper No. 30, which examines this battle, please let me know.

Sir Charles, I picked my copy up at the Fort Macleod tourist fort about 5 yrs ago.  It says it was published in 1997 by the Lethbridge Historical Society, Box 974, Lethbridge, AB. T1J 4A2.  They may be able to mail you a copy.  It may also be in the library.... The Last Great (Inter-Tribal) Indian Battle (Occasional Paper ; no. 30) ISBN 0-9696100-7-6

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Thanks BCLD;  I had a photocopy some time back, but mislaid it.  Of interest to this forum is the archeological find of Henry & Spencer cartridges with multiple strikes.

That, and the overall comparison with Custer's last battle.
