My Cimarron will close on the cut down 45/70 brass, but it IS a little snug, and requires slight pressure to close tightly. Very slight, but it's there. I turned down some rims to match the 45/60 ammo I got from BA, and it closes much easier, with no resistance at all. I probably could shoot either one, but I'd rather not have the pressure on the linkage, so I'm turning down all the rims on my cut down brass just to be safe.

Question: Will the 405 gr bullets fit OK, or should I stay with lighter bullets? I haven't loaded the cases yet, so I'm contemplating which bullets to order. I will be using Pyrodex or Goex powder on my reloads.
