Ruger Old Army
« on: December 29, 2006, 01:15:40 PM »
Just finished installing an R&D Cylinder and New Grips on my Old Army and thought I would show it off. Cylinder is a 45 Long Colt Drop In and Grips are Faux Ivory with Gold Oak Leaves. The Revolver is 1972 vintage.

Kirst makes a great Konverter Cylinder but decided to go with the R&D because Texas Jack had them on sale for $60.00 off.

Both work great?

Good Shooting!

Here's a look at my brace of ROAs.  The lil gun in the middle is the lil spur trigger Remington with a Kirst Konverter cylinder.  I sure like shootn' these great guns, either with the original C&B cylinders or the Kirst Konverters.

Dick:

That is really a nice set of Shooting Irons and Leather. I Had been and still am shooting a couple of 38lc 1851 Navys and a 45lc New Army Remington, but the Ruger is just something special. When you hold it you have a man's gun in your hand.

Just recently purchased some 45 spc Brass and can hardly wait to get started with it. Have to wait till my 45 acp Dies get here from Midway-USA.
