I had a friend that was his favorite, he made me some when I was over at his house, but never developed a taste for it,
just give me some tomatoes and mustard and some bread.  summer time favorite. or in the winter grape jelly sandwich, in my teenage years a triple decker.

You're truly disturbed. NO ONE eats white bread!

White bread is fine if it's homemade, but then who's eat that stuff from that you buy in the store anyway.  Who ever first said, "The greastest thing since pre-sliced bread was a durned fool." ;)  BTW pre-sliced bread dates to the 1930's and is not period correct for any reason. ;D

OK, I'll concede to un-sliced, whole loaf, home-made, French or Italian.

French and Italian are really the same, leave out the shortening and sugar. ;D

i  eat pre-sliced white bread.I dont eat home made food. I like foods i can count the calories. I eat 2150 callorie everday unless i make a mistake in my counting. I like to keep my self skinny i wear size 30 Old West pants. And if i wear modern pants i wear a 28 waist. So i must eat things i can count the callories with.I think i might try peanut butter and mayanaise on white bread some time that sounds good.

My uncle used to tell me...  "The whiter the bread, the sooner dead." ::)

He's still around though... so maybe...

White bread don't worry me, it's the chemicals they put in the boughten stuff.  Take some of that junk from the store and some homemade stuff sometine and put it in the cuboard and watch how quick the homemade molds and how long the boughten stuff takes.  About 4 days for the homemade and about two weeks or more for the other stuff, does that tell you anything?

BTW modern white flour has all the vitamans that whole wheat does and stone ground is no heathier for you unless you have problems pooping. ;)
