Spent all day watchin Lonesome Dove

I always liked the way Robert Duvall played a cowboy. Also noticed a lot of period correct clothing and firearms. Made for great day of tv when there was nothin else on. over 400 channels and nothing on. Amazing how they can do that.
Always knew I was born 100 yrs too late.

Funny I started Saturday watching it again also but on DVD's and the whole series, finished Sunday night. It was a slow week end with bad weather.  Here is the order I watched them in too.

Dead Man's Walk
Comanche Moon
Lonesome Dove
Return to Lonesome Dove
Streets of Laredo
Lonesome Dove; The Series (1st season of Series) 21 episodes
Lonesome Dove; The Outlaw Years (2nd season of Series) 22 episodes

A day is just what you need to watch that.  It it's good no matter what else is on.  Best TV miniseries ever.

The sequels and prequels were worth watching.  But they were horrible when compared to the original.  Whoever made those made the series into a clown show.  Young Call and McCrae act like fumbling baffoonish idiots, not the hard tough rangers that they were depicted as having been in the original.
