Good Evening Gents,
One of the holsters I offer is a version of the Suspender holster pictured in “Packing Iron” pictured below is my prototype and as you can see it’s seen some use. I’ve packed a brace of SAAs in these around the farm and have to say they’re some of my favorite holsters. They ride well and are surprisingly comfortable. They conceal my 4 3/4” Ubertis very well and with a shirt or coat over them they’re practically invisible.
I make mine from 6-7oz Hermann Oak finished with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. They’re sewn with very high quality linen thread waxed with coad. I try to keep my materials as close as possible to those used in the period.
Changes I made to the design from PI were slightly refined flaps and an open toe. Sometimes I’ll carry a brace of 7 1/2” guns in them and find they have no problems with the sign clearing the toe.
Pardon my crude work on this holster, it’s rather rough. Was experimenting with a couple new tools.
God Bless everyone and hope y’all have a great rest of the week!
