I have two Army '60's (Pietta's) never used them in CAS. They just sat in my gun safe, so after looking at a lot the conversions shown here... I said, I can do that... I have converted one of the revolvers using Kirst Konverters with ejector assembly. Waiting on Hoof Hearted to send me the Kirst conversion for the second revolver (back ordered). I have defarbed the barrels and ground the Loading Lever Retainer off and reblued the barrels. I did not shorten the barrel's, left them at 8". After installing the Kirst on the first one, had some timing problems with the hand pawl, but that has been corrected. I used Pettifogger's method of changing the original spring hand to a spring coil plunger hand. It may or maynot be historically correct, but since I will never use a stock on these Army '60's, I am not really crazy about those 2 large stock screws in the sides of the frame. So I removed them to the trash can and cut off the nipples for cap and ball and screwed them into the holes. I think it looks better, now I have 2 lubricating holes... laugh. The most time consuming event was making the cut for the loading port. But the first one is fini and all works well. Here are some pics of the completed army. I am very pleased with the way this project ended.
