Lyman DPS III Issue
« on: July 23, 2018, 05:36:55 PM »
My Lyman DPS III went bonkers on me. Couldn't calibrate it after warm up.

Solution: use the little brush included along with canned air to clean under the silver powder pan tray.

Voila! Problem solved.

(Snicker Snicker Snort)

(Then with tongue stuck firmly in cheek)

What on earth would you ever use a new fangled Digital Scale for   :o   Loading BP I have never needed anything graduated any finer than the size of the shovel I use for filling the cases  ::)

 ;)  ;D

I thought and felt the same thing until my dear wife bought me the Lyman DPS III dispenser as a present. It has become indispensable (pun intended) and I now load everything using that device, including BP despite the usual warnings not to.

While it is busy spitting out the charge, I'm seating the bullet in the last case charged. Occasionally I weigh a charge but it is always spot on with the odd .1 of a gr variance. Better than most mechanical measures.
