S&R training was none of the above. ::)  Radio operations, knot tying and then a rescue for the main qualed guys.  I wasn't one of them, so I went to lunch instead.

Believe they named it Jupiter, Del :o

Stayed in the 30's here today with a light coating of ice first thing this morning. Didn't make smooth ice though, had a rough texture to it ::) :P

Had ice yesterday, was supposed to be more today but none came. Don't know about the rest of the country , but they supposed great ice storm  of 2017 where I live was kind of a fizzle(thankfully). Gravel roads were slick in spots, but the paved roads were all treated before it all started, and were mostly fine. Nothing like 2007, when large parts of Mid Missouri were without power for a week.

Good morning all.

More rain here today.  It's supposed to start round two of our Noah: The Sequel.  We're expecting 3-8" of rain, with ~12" of white stuff mixed in over the next week or two.  Means the Search and Rescue will be running more.  Maybe I'll get to go on some rescues. ::)

We're going to church today, so that's a trip to the city.

Well, it never did break freezing yesterday, so we didn’t lose any of our ground cover.  Today it’s up to 35 so we’re at least slushing up the unplowed streets.  Tomorrow’s supposed to be in the mid-40s, so we should make so more headway.  No additional fluffy stuff until Friday and Sunday.  We shall see!

Sounds familiar. Still raining. The state and county roads are slushy. The town roads are wet ice. I got 3/4 mile from home 'fore I slid off the road into the ditch/field. I'll go out in the morning and get it out with the tractor with chains on it.

Looks like the 'Ice-pocolypse" that was supposed to be here, went to Nebraska instead. Rained most of the day yesterday, above freezing, washed away what remained of the ice. damp and 50's today. Martin Luther King day over, back to work tomorrow.

Stayed about 5 miles sough of me, we had a little, locked and loaded coming home last night about 1, just a spot here and there on the mains, but did be grateful for it on the sides and getting in the drive.  Un-loaded today, just got home, got talked into going in at 7 am to help out on a project for 3-4 hours.

Long story, will explain later but we have a new store manager.

Home, someone called on sick as I got there, needed more to run the store from 4-7 than check in groceries and stock.

Morning all.

With my three day weekend over, it's back to work this morning.

Was called by a friend yesterday and informed that the local gun show has been rescheduled from next month to next Saturday.  Any guesses what I'm doing next Saturday?   ::)  Going to try and find a Pre-64 M70 to restore.  Maybe one with a bad barrel so I can put the one I have had in my closet for two years on it. :P

Coffee and water are hot!

Drizzled pretty steady all day yesterday.  Turning to light sn*w now for most of the rest of the day.  More white stuff over the next couple days.  We shall see how much sticks, now that the Sn*w thrower is working again!

Rain on the Coastal Plain this morning.  Didn't get it too bad yesterday like west and southwest H-town.  Some places reported up to 7".  There was flooding along bayous, and some high water rescues that took place.  Should clear this afternoon.  Temps in the 60's and 70's.
