Elsworth 1 1/2 inch Field Rifle
« on: July 04, 2009, 05:36:59 AM »
Can anyone give me some info on a artillery piece called an Elsworth 1 1/2 inch Field Rifle.  It is a breech loader.  Supposedly only 27 were made.  Civil War era.

That breech system seems similar to that on the M114 and M109 155mm.
