puma by legacy?
« on: April 29, 2006, 05:06:12 PM »
A friend called me today to tell me about a lever action rifle with yellow sides at the gun store.  I thought ( hmmmm) I jumped in the truck and drove 25 miles to see it. ( I live out in the sticks)
It was a puma .45 cal.  it said legacy on it. Can anyone tell me about this rifle? It had a $375 price tag on it, but he said he would sell it to me for $300. it is new in the box.  It felt a little clunky to me, but what do i know?  thanks for any information.  :)

It's basically a Rossi with a brass colored frame. I've seen a few out there. The LSI guns have a safety in the top of the bolt. My shooting partner uses an LSI in .357 and it works pretty good. It also feels smoother than his identical but much older Puma that he bought used when he started CAS.......Buck 8) ::) ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....
