I stopped by a Richmond area LGS for some reloading supplies today. Of course I had to browse the used gun rack for things of interest. Lo and behold, there was what looked like a spankin new '73 carbine. I picked it and and saw it was a Miroku Winchester. This was my first time seeing one in the flesh, so I took a minute to look it over. I have to admit, I was impressed - it was very nicely made with excellent fit and finish. It was priced at $999. Not a bad price. The only downside was the chambering - 38/357. Before I saw that, I was starting to get interested. But being a non-standard caliber, it held no further interest to me. Nevertheless, it was nice to handle one and see how they compare to my original and an uberti.
