Bread, chili and fried cabbage out of the kitchen today, last 2 a dangerous combo so it went in a bowl to rest, had some hydro tomatoes gave to us and Rita is on a low acid diet for a while, cancer scare, all fine but she has been eating to many maters, oranges and drinking to much Coke. I found a year old vacuum sealed piece of cow to cut up and had onins and the spices, better than moldy tamaters, they stink.
Ate some cabbage, got plenty to bag, did 3 heads in the 20" skillet. Promised my wife it would go back downstairs out of the way, but no maybe not. Fried cabbage is a favored side dish of mine and not hers or the kid. So I have it to microwave when I want it.
Nope, no beans, no elbow mac, no pineapple, no nothing that don't belong in pain simper 19th century chill, no green peppers of any kind, no bell peppers and no tofu or lentils, had to endure on time to be polite. Also no store bought chili powder, 2 parts cumin, 1 each coriander, oregano and black pepper and 2 parts smoked paprika for color and a couple glops of my latest invention. Very good, took 2 months but it quit bubbling, crushed common chilies often called japones and the pequins and some smoked paprika for color also, brewed in Seville orange juice aka bitter/sour orange juice to get away from the vinegar taste.
