Parts for a #3 Original Russian?
« on: August 02, 2008, 11:50:28 PM »
Hi:
New to this forum, I'm wondering if any one here can recommend an address where I might be able to obtain a trigger spring for an original #3 Russian?  After reading Chiccones book (I know I butchered that name, sorry) my friend & I have decided its probably the trigger spring keeping the weapon from functioning correctly.

The cylinder will only lock up when the trigger is pulled to the extreme, otherwise it spins.

Thanks

Dave Chicoine's books are pretty thorough in their describing the various maladies of Old West firearms.

For a new spring - contact Wolff Springs.

Yeah, they provide 'short-stroke' and  other C&WAS 'competition' springs, but the point is - they make springs, and they make them for a 'very' wide range of firearms.

Call them and tell them what you need - you should be pleased with their reply.

Try S&S Firearms as well - www.ssfirearms.com - they'd had some replacement springs for your original Russian a couple of years ago.
