"Vintage" Rifle
« on: January 19, 2016, 05:55:01 PM »
This might be a side match rifle. It's a Remington M1903 parts gun, the barrel and receiver are original but the bolt and rear sight are replacements. The stock is a repaired replacement c stock, the sling and cheek pad are repros, the scope is a vintage Weaver k6 on an S&K Instamount. The good part is there are no modifications to the rifle or any part. The mount is very solid so the rifle performs well, currently I have it sighted for 300 yards.

Looks like it would qualify as a period scope sighted bolt action side match rifle to me.  If you were to bring it to the AZSA Championships in September we'll let you shoot it in the side match.  Rifle is a sporterized military arm that had been sold to the public as surplus with a steel body period style scope and period mount.
