EAA "bounty hunter" Weihrauch-made SAA clone
« on: October 05, 2006, 03:36:33 PM »
hello, new to the forum, have not yet got into CAS.  But i took a few pics of my new pistol, and figured if anyone would appreciate them, you folks would.

This is a 4.5 inch 357 mag version of the Weihrauch (Germany) made "big bore".  It is imported by EAA (european american armory) and marketed under the name "bounty hunter".

This particular pistol was purchased from Islandtactical.com for the price of $278...which seems like a value, considering the overall quality of the gun.

This is a transfer bar design.

here are the pics:

Between my shooting partner and I, we have four of them. Three in .357 with 4 1/2" barrels and one in .45Colt with a 7 1/2". They're stout guns and are quite tunable........Buck 8) ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

any tips as to where i would start "tuning"?

please forgive my relative naivety when it come to SAA Revolvers.  this is my first, and i must say....i am quite enjoying it.

also, if i may ask, do my pictures accurately represent these pistols???  and how do you find they compare in fit and finish to other brands??

Pics are fine, show the case colors real well. The .357's we have are all blue, my .45 is case colored. Are you going to shoot CAS with this or just use as a plinker???.........Buck 8) ::) ;)

I'm considering one in .357 Magnum.
A work in progress.

I have a pair of .45 L.C. 71/2" and I love them. You can take alook at them here:

The springs are the big thing and you can get them here as well:
