Anybody know if an Uberti carrier will fit an original Winchester?

Unfortunately, the Uberti Carrier Block won't fit an original '73. The differences are just significant enough it won't fit.

PS: At least not in the guns I've tried.

I've heard but have never tried for myself, that the Chiappa's are exact copies of the original Winchesters. If so the carrier ought to fit. I know that the links and firing pin retractor look the same.

See if you can source a EuroArms carrier. These are also the same size as the Winchester.
I tried to fit a SS Kit to one and found out the Uberti frame is larger and the toggle links were too large.
See how ya go.
