Lotsa Duck Talk round here!!!!  I had one my Dad used to say when he thought someone was pullin his leg! He'd Say; " Yeah! I've heard that Duck Fart under water before! " Am I allowed ta say fart on here!!!?????   :-[   ???  :D

Angel Eyes...  I believe the Arapaho were a "raiding tribe" which would indicate to me that they probably shot pretty good.
Getting down off a duck's back was an old Abbott and Costello routine.

Now here's a couple of gems often heard from me old Irish Grandpa...
"Often a man's mouth has broken his nose".   :o
And my favorite Grandpa saying was, "I ain't hard of hearin', I'm just tired of hearin'!"   ::)

Well Angel Eyes if he shot bad it was probably becuase he had to stand still,give him a good horse and bow and arrow and you'll never know what hit ya..(=} -----> ;D

From what i gather they were very skilled horsemen and shooters

Since we seem to be running a waterfowl theme here...

I had an uncle a good ways back on my mother's side who used to refer to some of the local boys as thinking they were 'stud duck of the pond.' 

Judging by the stories that bookend that one I'd lay money on it not being a compliment.

K... I want to learn to cook with the cast iron kettles.  Been a dream for a lot of years.. My neighbor use to cook a great meal, he and his wife had the coolest Happy New Years party in AZ.. and I have been so interested in it for years..  Very cool.. Sass has some info on it, and I am reading on line too.  Once I move I hope to be able to set up a cowboy cook out at a year meet with iron it would be so cool...  Deja on the loose as usual.. lol
