Once Again… Your Favorite USFA?
« on: June 30, 2016, 11:36:05 PM »
Been a long time since I last posted this question so it might be fun to send it around again.  Of all of your USFA's, which is your favorite, and why?

The one that I will never let go is a custom ordered, nickel plated, 4 & 3/4" SAA with factory elephant ivory grips, a personalized serial number (my Police Department's initials (Seattle PD - followed by my four digit SPD serial number) and factory certified to point of aim.  It was manufactured in 2005.  I had a presentation case made for it by www.billscases.com and, thanks to PhotoShop, scanned, then modified, the USFA interior box lid label to indicate that it was a special order gun made expressly for me.  Printed the modified label out on parchment paper and affixed it to the lid of the presentation case.  Looks pretty official!

So… please join in!  Tell us about your favorite USFA.

I like my China Camp the best.  I don't worry about the finish, so I pick it up to shoot more than the rest.

Joel, thank  you for your reply!!!
My second favorite would be my nickel plated 7 & 1/2", with factory walnut grips.  Shoots -2" groups at 25 yards.

Of the ones I have it would be hard for me to pick a favorite, but if I have to it would be my Doug Turnbull, a 4 3/4" prewar that I had custom Elk antler grips made for and the other would be my Henry Nettleton Artillery model. The truth be known I like them all!

I've had several different USFA "sets."  Rodeo, Omnipotent, Double Eagles and some odd balls.  My ALL-TIME bar none, absolute
fav's were my special ordered set of consecutive .38 Special, 4 3/4 barrel, checker'd stock'd Omnipotent(s).  Way KOOL, elegant,
different.  Absolute sex in steel.  Then:

I found out there was no way they fit my hands.  Could not find a way to get em out of the holsters (Gunfighter) and then shoot em.
Just plain no way.  I was crushed.  Gorgeous sexy guns but for me ..... useless.  Sold em off toot sweet.  Should have kept em for the
insane prices after USFA Darwin'd.  Oh well.

Mine would have to be my Omni Snub nose.  Such an unusual revolver.  Can't shoot them anymore because of the arthritis in my hands, so just appreciate owning them is enough for me now.

Pangaea,
One of my regrets is that I never got an ejectorless Omni with a 4" barrel.  :'(
