Wild Bunch Match in North Texas, 01/15/11

Just got word:  The Lone Star Frontier Shooting Club is hosting a Wild Bunch match (6 stages) on Saturday, 1/15. 

This club is SW of Fort Worth, near Cleburne, Texas.

I've shot with some of these guys at Fort Parker.  They write fun WB stages.  Some of their stages require 4 magazines!

Yes, we are. Thanks Pancho, for the post. We are going to try it for a while on the third Saturday of each month, see how it goes, we will offer the two SASS Categories, per the book with the exception of allowing less than 40 cal rifles. We will also have an Open category for those that show up and are not quite outfitted yet. Directions to the range can be found here.

The notice from our beloved President, Long Ranger Rick:
"Starting in January 2011, on the third Saturday (15 January 2011) we will host a Wild Bunch match, with 5 to
6 stages depending on weather. There will be Traditional and Modern classes by SASS rules for Wild Bunch. Also,
we will try an Open Class .We'll give it a try for several months, and if there is some interest,
it could be a regular monthly match!"

looks like Saturdays match will consist of about 100 pistol, 45 rifle, and 30 shotgun, so yes you might need 4 magazines.
the most pistol on any one stage is 20, rifle 10, and shotgun 6.

Just a qiuick reminder. We will have our WB shoot this month on Sunday, not Saturday.

Also, we have been awarded the first WBAS Texas State Championship match, set for later in the year, October 15th and 16th. More details when available.

We had 20 shooters on the third Sunday of March, so we will try Sunday again. Come see us Sunday, April 17, 2011.
