Well, Miz Lee, I guess I just decided you needed another song...Kathy has enough songs....guess I plumb forgot.

I just love instrumentals but they are hard to write here, well, we can write 'em, but some people cant seem to read 'em

Here is one of my favorites:

crank, crank crank,
vroom, vroom, vrooooooom,
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
If you all didn't get it, it was the theme song to "wild angels" with Peter Fonda aand Nancy Sinatra. (before he did Easy Rider)
It was Blues Theme by Davey Allen and the Arrows...
Hey Top....you got that in 45 too, remember?

Yes and if I can ever find where my son has put them we might be able to listen to them again.  Must locate Eric the Bald, which should be easy as he lives here.    ;D

I got sidetracked for a while today, when I discovered there was a new music video station on DirecTV. Yep, it was the current stuff and I changed it when they moved to the hip-hop hour, but it was good to see videos on TV again.

Today's "song in my head":

I took my love,and I took it down
I Climbed a mountain and I turned around

And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'Till the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life

Uu-uhm...uu-uhm...

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too

(Gutiar solo)

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I´ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too
Oooh, I'm getting older too

Ah-ah, take my love, take it down
Ah-ah, Climb a mountain and then turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring you down

And If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Oh, well the landslide will bring you down
Oh-oh, the landslide will bring you down

this job is getting really HARD...

This one could go either way, Curley. It can be melancholy, poignant, or joyful acceptance, depending on the mood. It is one of my all time favourite songs.

Because we all dance to the music of our lives:

Keep a fire burning in your eye
Pay attention to the open sky
You never know what will be coming down
I don’t remember losing track of you
You were always dancing in and out of view
I must have thought you’d always be around
Always keeping things real by playing the clown
Now you’re nowhere to be found

I don’t know what happens when people die
Can’t seem to grasp it as hard as I try
It’s like a song I can hear playing right in my ear
That I can’t sing
I can’t help listening
And I can’t help feeling stupid standing ‘round
Crying as they ease you down
‘cause I know that you’d rather we were dancing
Dancing our sorrow away
(right on dancing)
No matter what fate chooses to play
(there’s nothing you can do about it anyway)

Just do the steps that you’ve been shown
By everyone you’ve ever known
Until the dance becomes your very own
No matter how close to yours
Another’s steps have grown
In the end there is one dance you’ll do alone

Keep a fire for the human race
Let your prayers go drifting into space
You never know what will be coming down
Perhaps a better world is drawing near
And just as easily it could all disappear
Along with whatever meaning you might have found
Don’t let the uncertainty turn you around
(the world keeps turning around and around)
Go on and make a joyful sound

Into a dancer you have grown
From a seed somebody else has thrown
Go on ahead and throw some seeds of your own
And somewhere between the time you arrive
And the time you go
May lie a reason you were alive
But you’ll never know

~~~~
In hopes you'll make a joyful sound,
AnnieLee
Ah, nicely done Miz Lee,
I had a staff member beat up one of my patients this week.
I have been doing the paperwork all week.
aside from the fact that one of my "charges" was injured (which sickens me)
this staff will surely lose his job, and be put up on criminal charges....
a real merry christmas....
thank you for the good "vibes" in the middle of all my stuff.
now back to the paperwork
Awww... dang it, Curley. Humans can be such stupid and cruel animals at times. I hope your patient is ok, and am sorry you have to deal with this stuff.
Here's another, from the same album:
In my early years I hid my tears
And passed my days alone
Adrift on an ocean of loneliness
My dreams like nets were thrown
To catch the love that I’d heard of
In books and films and songs
Now there’s a world of illusion and fantasy
In the place where the real world belongs
Still I look for the beauty in songs
To fill my head and lead me on
Though my dreams have come up torn and empty
As many times as love has come and gone
To those gentle ones my memory runs
To the laughter we shared at the meals
I filled their kitchens and living rooms
With my schemes and my broken wheels
It was never clear how far or near
The gates to my citadel lay
They were cutting from stone some dreams of their own
But they listened to mine anyway
I’m not sure what I’m trying to say
It could be I’ve lost my way
Though I keep a watch over the distance
Heaven’s no closer than it was yesterday
And the angels are older
They know not to wait up for the sun
They look over my shoulder
At the maps and the drawings of the journey I’ve begun
Now the distance leads me farther on
Though the reasons I once had are gone
I keep thinking I’ll find what I’m looking for
In the sand beneath the dawn
But the angels are older
They can see that the sun’s setting fast
They look over my shoulder
At the vision of paradise contained in the light of the past
And they lay down behind me
To sleep beside the road till the morning has come
Where they know they will find me
With my maps and my faith in the distance
Moving farther on
~~~~

Thank you kindly Miz Lee

Here is an oldie for you,

"Today, I feel like pleasing you more than before
Today, I know what I wanna do, but I don't know what for
To be living for you is all I want to do
To be loving you It'll all be there when my dreams come true

Today, you make me say that I some how have changed
Today, You look into my eyes I'm just not the same
To be anymore than all i am would be a lie
I so full of love I could burst apart and start to cry.

Please, please listen to me
It's taken so long to come true
And its all for you
All for you

Well, Miz Lee, that's all for you, however, If Old 'Top doesn't figger out who and what this song is.....well, let's just say I will be mightly dissappointed...

I like them both loud. "Roadhouse" might be my first "play it loud in the car" song.

"I woke up this morning and got myself a beeer, cuz the future's uncertain and the end is always near. Let it roll, baby roll, let it roll baby roll, let it rolllll all night long."

If that song comes on, I have to crank it up. It's kinda funny, pulling up to a stop light like that, and seeing the teenagers gawk at the middle aged crazy lady bopping to the music that is rolling out of her car.

Great song, Curley, thank you!

Now that I finally found this again.....here is one for Miz Lee and Old Top:

One begins to read between the pages of a look
the shape of sleepy music and suddenly you're hooked
through the rain upon the trees that kisses you on the run
I saw you   I saw you
Comin' back to me

You cant stay and live my way
Scatter my love like leaves in the wind
You always say you wont go away
But I know what always has been, it always has been

A transparent dream beneath an occasional sigh
Most of the time I just let it go by
Now I wish it hadn't begun
I saw you  I saw you
comin' back to me

Small things like reasons are put in a jar
Whatever  happened to wishes wished on a star
Was it just something that i made up for fun

I saw you  I saw you
Comin' back to me......

any one know the "missing parts.."

Merry Christmas...(a hug for Miz Lee, and a "thwack" for Old Top)

The summer had inhaled
And held its breath too long.
The winter looked the same,
As if it had never gone,
And through an open window,
Where no curtain hung,
I saw you, I saw you,
Coming back to me.

One begins to read between
The pages of a look.
The sound of sleepy music,
And suddenly, you're hooked.
I saw you, I saw you,
Coming back to me.

You came to stay and live my way,
Scatter my love like leaves in the wind.
You always say that you won't go away,
But I know what it always has been,
It always has been.

A transparent dream
Beneath an occasional sigh...
Most of the time,
I just let it go by.
Now I wish it hadn't begun.
I saw you, I saw you,
Coming back to me.

Strolling the hill,
Overlooking the shore,
I realize I've been here before.
The shadow in the mist
Could have been anyone--
I saw you, I saw you,
Coming back to me.

Small things like reasons
Are put in a jar.
Whatever happened to wishes,
Wished on a star?
Was it just something
That I made up for fun?
I saw you, I saw you,
Coming back to me.
