Bro. Sleep, He would be in big trouble down in Texas if the TSCRA saw his running iron.

I know, Sherrif Earl Scank of Keith County and I disscussed that one time at the state fair.  But I was out of his jur-us-dict-shun. ;D

(Tis funny, I lay it out in plain site, 999 folks can walk by and never notice, then someone like him will do a double take.) ;D

{BTW they're no longer ileagal here, since the 50's, modern science can tell.  But would still not be a good idea to be caught in a pasture with one and a Berz-O-Matic.}

Earl's retired, don't know if he'd come out of retirement if I showed up, he banned me from his county. ;D

They don't generally hang cooks. ;D

Lowest bad guys I ever saw were the ones in Open Range, killed the dog and the cook, lower even than Bruce Dern shootin' John Wayne in the back, course he almost stooped low enough to hang the cook. ;D

Hangin' is too good for Bruce Dern.  Stake him out over an ant hill, skin him, then pour honey over him and watch the fun.

Now Mr. Dern is a sweet lovable man who just happens to play the badman very well. ;)  Tis not fair to hate the man for the fact he is an ugly but very good actor. >:(

Besides that in that movie the Duke deserved to die, remember he POed the cook and reached for pie with out asking. ;D  Mr. Nightlinger should have cut his heart out with his knife for that, he was just too nice. ;)

Well they kill Bruce in the end, and Rosco Lee Brown is the real star of that movie. ;D

Besides even you know enough not to up-set the cook, btw ya gonna bring castor oil or do I need to include it next month. ;D

In the original book tis Opie Cunnighham (yes I did that on purpose) that kills Books.  His motivation was half noteriety and half a sympathetic desire ta let the man die his way as he had planned.  Books had carefully planned his death and blew it by being so good at what he did.

Might be, but Bruce Dern killed the Duke in The Cowboys, not The Shootist. ;D
