We lost a true icon of the valley a couple days ago,services were today.Rancher and all around cowboy and good guy Clarence Ritchie is and was a local legend especially when i was growing up.You never knew where the band would pop up.I went fishin at a local fishin hole and my dad mother and aunt and uncle were there dancing to the band,my mom and pop could really cut a rug,it was like a weekend camping place with a diner and such up in the hills.I never got to meet Mr. Ritchie personally but went to school and with the kids, always saw him at places,great friends with the Sons of the San Juaquin of course.If you ever saw the movie Son in Law with Pauly Shore this is where it was filmed,the house they lived in is down the street from the Ritchie Ranch.Alot of folks all over knew him and the ranch.RIP Mr. Clarence Ritchie~
