Crab is mighty good. Especially if ya get ‘em fresh from a dock in the area of where the dive team brings in a floater.

Gottah be careful with the sand sharks. They’re l’il but they’ll take a hunk out ya. Gaff ‘em close ta the month as ya can ‘n cut the head off right away. Some guys will take the heads home ‘n cut the jaws out. Why? Beats the hell outtah me. Slice ‘em ‘bout ¾” think. Cut the skin off. Only one bone in it ‘n that’s more like gristle than bone. Lottah seafood sales ‘n seafood restaurants have shark steak from the big ones. If ya ever get the chance it’s werth a try. It’s sad when some folks just kill ‘em. But in the sea, it’ll get eaten. Still hate it. Ain’t right ‘n proper.

Good rule of thumb is if ya pull it outtah salt water keep yer fingers ‘n such away from the thing’s mouth.

Out here in Newbrasskey we wait for the annual migration of those Japanese land-walkin' fish to commence in the late summer, and when they're caught stranded on that long stretch out on the plains, we jump in our dune buggies and go drive over them to flatten and make filets for feedin' the hands!

Mighty good eating. If ya kin catch 'em traveling through a cornfield, ya don't even have to bread 'em first! ;) :o :P

'Course all the big ranchers in the state of Nebraska nowadays have tame bald eagles that will fish the lakes and rivers for their masters, and then are trained to just drop 'em from their claws in mid-air right into the fryin' pan.

Also, in winter in Nebraska it's so cold that the trout grow fur. Don't want to eat any fur-bearin' fish, so don't fish in those frozen streams until Spring thaw then they've shed their winter coats.

I have deleted no posts from this thread except my own.
That would be after I decided not to say how totally dumb some other posts were.
