If you thought Doug Donnelly had some strange ideas, look at what Standard has come up with! (Your "WTF" moment for the day  ;D)

yeah it's strange but it could have some sales and isn't terribly expensive.

Now, if they add a bracket so you can bolt it to an AR, then I will get worried about Standard.  ;D

I do have to admit that as ugly and impracticable as this gun seems, it does have a leg up on the Zip 22. (But then again, what wouldn't?)

When I saw this Iver Johnson Ace last Spring @ Shot I was all ready to get one...
IJ said they be out in Sept. 18...I've yet to see them in the wild  :-\

That said , because of the interim time I have sorta gotten over it....
still a modern version of the Sharps is kinda cool....

And I'd way rather have it than this Standard revolver thingy , trigger looks really weak and dorky & the partial spur TG looks guaranteed to snag in your pocket ....

An amusing little modernists variation of the “bicycle gun” ...

Personally I prefer major’s sharps repop, or even The tiny NAA revelovers.

But what about the long established “more than one shot per each pull of the trigger” atf ruling from decades gone by?

And it would seem, after doing a YouTube search and coming up with this two year old Shot Show video, that this weird little gun is not the first, but the second time Standard Manufacturing has dived down the rabbit hole:
After two years I have never seen, nor heard anything of, the gun featured in this video.  I can only assume that it was destined to a quick, and well deserved, death.  I would predict the same fate for their two shot .22 magnum revolver.  How much further behind will their SAA project be?
Hold on to your USFA's! Chances of them ever being surpassed by companies like Standard Manufacturing are minimal, at best.

Not my cup of tea.  However, if the Double 45 ACP (side-by-side on one frame) is legal, why would this be different?

Also, I note that Standard is shipping their SAA.  There are multiple online reviews of the guns that are quite positive.  I hope the make a go of it and eventually offer it in other calibers than 45 Colt.

Standard posted on facebook a .44-40 in their words "coming soon". It has a bp frame and many 1st gen features, beveled cylinder, beveled trigger guard, border checkered hammer, v-notch rear sight, thin front sight. I also recall something about correct Colt sized cylinder and that they will eventually be selling Colt parts. I imagine it will cost more than their .45 they have now.

I'd prefer a 5.5 barrel. But it looks sharp!

Now THAT is one sharp looking single action revolver. Might have to open up some room in my collection.

As for the original gun, I wouldn't buy it, but I'd rent it if my local range had it available, just to mess with it a little.

Greetings Drydock and welcome to our forum.
At what price point are they listing them for?  Just curious.  I have enough USFA's to last me a lifetime (and the older one gets, the less impact the word "lifetime" has  ;D).  Subsequently, I have little or no desire to purchase a Standard SAA.  Like I said, just curious as to their actual selling price.
