Tha range boss has tol' ya that yer tha one what's gonna be stayin' up at tha line shack thru tha winter.

What supplies are ya gonna be packin' up there on yer horse and three mules. 

Looks ta be a hard winter a'comin' accordin' ta all tha signs.

In addition to guns, food & clothes; ammo, patent medicine for you & your livestock, soap, razor & strap, a few good books or a bunch of dime novels, a harmonica, or squeezebox, matches, coal oil, Barlow knife for whittlin, tobacco for pipe or cigareets and rollin papers, candy fer the sweet tooth, & a good dog for company & protection. The dog don't have to be one that'll attack, just one that'll bark or growl & let you know ifn rustlers, injuns, wolves, cougars or coyotes or damnedyankees are skulkin about.

30 pounds flour
30 pounds cornmeal
10 pounds sugar
15 pounds coffee
10 pounds salt
05 pounds other spices
05 bottles whiskey (something better than Red Eye)
10 pounds of tobacco
Extra wool blankets
Extra clothing
Laundry and hand soap
Scrub brushes
First Aid Supplies
Assorted hand tools and shovels
Matches
Assorted cooking utensils.
Flint & Steel kit (in case you run out of matches)
Old news papers (for starting fires and reading if you get desperate!)
A Bible (for spiritual enlightenment...or starting a fire in case you run out of news paper)
Reading material
A deck of cards
Extra pistol, rifle, shotgun ammo.
A Boom Box (No wait!  No electricity up there!)(Ferget the Boom Box!)
That covers it!
Now I'll load all this in my HumVee and drive on up.  (No!  Wait!  HumVees haven't been invented yet!)

A small portable electric genrator with fuel, a cell phone, and charger, and my phone directory.

Everything else I'll have air dropped or helicoptered in when I need it.
