A clear plastic bag wrapped around the gun before you take those parts down works great to catch flying springs and detents.

His First ? !!!!  :o  that holster is fabulous, it suits the Smith beautifully….

I may have lead you to think this was his first holster. That is not correct.  It was his first attempt at the Sunday Scabbard.

Another trick is to slather BP lube over the chambers mouths before shooting a la percussion style.

That is a wonderful gift.
Back in 2016, I did not know which way the election would turn out.
I decided to get an Anderson M4, less I'd lose the right to purchase one.
One of the handiest accessories was a speed loader.

I will be shooting APP loads in my .44 Russian First Model No. 3 at a Black Powder night shoot on Friday.  They lack the bushing, just as the Schofields do.  Ill let you know how it goes.

Plans altered, wound up with sinus headache, so I just hung out at home and took a nap.
Still no rain, not even any rain clouds yet the guessers keep says it is, has or will rain.
No clue what these nimrods are forecasting, it did Rain Friday, but it wasn't forecasted.  ???

Gtbpappy,

Sorry, no serial #s even close to your 24281  .  .  . nearest one is 24,477, a Spencer Carbine issued to Company L, 2nd New York Volunteer Cavalry in March of 1865.

Hope this helps.  Just curious, how many Spencers do you own?  We've done this before, the search of serial #s, that is?
