El Patron competition model
« on: September 04, 2013, 03:53:06 AM »
I recently bought two Uberti El Patrons. One is standard El Patron and the second is the newer "competition" model which has a lower hammer spur similar to the EL Patron CMS. I would like to change out the hammer on the standard model with the lower style, but can't find a source anywhere doing online searches. I asked Uberti but have received no reply. Has anyone heard of anyone doing this, or possibly have an idea of a source for that part?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I "roll my own". By that I mean that I bent the hammers down on two of my very inexpensive, German made SAA clones. It isn't all that hard to do, but there are several things that you have to keep in mind while doing this. I won’t bore you with the details here, but if you are interested, P.M. me and/or E-Mail me and I can explain how to avoid some of the mistakes that I made.
I will no longer respond to the rants of the small minded that want to sling mud rather than discuss in an adult manner.

I can't garantee the availability, but if available as a "part" call VTI Gunparts (860-435-8068).  Often there are parts available that are not shown on their web site.

Cimarron carries the lowered hammers with wide spurs, although they are often out of stock.
